Wow. That, as they say, didn't take long. The quote above is from Jonathan Chait at The New Republic. We at MC enjoy TNR (like subscribing to Playboy for the articles, we read TNR for the book reviews; no, really) but it must be said that it gets the vapors rather easily. Going wobbly is standard operating procedure for them. In his article Chait blames Congress for the impending failure of Operation Obama and the Goblet of Socialization, particularly the Senate. We think the fish rots from the head down and there's no excuse in relieving the man at the top from responsibility, especially when he's acquiesced in being promoted as The Messiah.
